Warriors Nation Basketball is an invitation and try-out-based basketball organization that competes locally and nationally. By nature, playing basketball is a very competitive sport, and players will face challenges along the way, but ultimately, they will come away stronger and better prepared for future challenges. Our teams feature extremely motivated, experienced and knowledgeable coaches to bring out the best in every player, while teaching the ins and outs of team play at the highest levels. Our coaches’ primary objective is to develop our student athletes, so they are ready to play on any level of competition.

COVID-19; Omicron; Monkeypox Message
We trust everyone is doing what is needed to stay safe.  The staff has been monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation closely, keeping the health of all parties affiliated with our teams as the top priority.  We will continue to assess the situation with the information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) https://www.cdc.gov/

These are a few guidelines that we want to give everyone to read over in light of Covid-19, Omicron and Monkeypox viruses.
First, we are practicing the primary advice from the CDC based on the “common-sense” approach to infection-control. This includes proper cough etiquette, frequent hand washing, use of hand sanitizer and limiting face touching.

Second, we are instructing our staff to exercise increased awareness and attention-to-detail in sanitizing work areas during events. Please communicate to your children to be mindful of common public points of contact and to personally follow the CDC hygiene guidelines.

The CDC advises at this time that the risk for both viruses is high, but we can all do our part to ensure that our programs this season remains as safe as they can be. CDC advice includes:

  • Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Wash hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds, especially after using the restroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
  • Regularly use hand-sanitizer that contains at least 78% alcohol.
  • Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.

Here are some additional suggestions from our team and steps that our staff will take during the season:

  • We encourage your children to wash their hands after the conclusion of any program.
  • It is best for each player to have their own personal source of hydration (water bottle, Gatorade, etc.). We recommend that players refrain from sharing with teammates.
  • We encourage players to avoid giving high-fives and handshakes.
  • We encourage players to sanitize their basketball before and after practices, games and training sessions.
  • Avoid using public water fountains.
  • We will require the facilities to throw away all water bottles left in the building after games.
  • We will continue to monitor national, regional, and local government alerts and information.
  • If your child is showing flu-like signs or symptoms, please inform us and keep your student-athlete home until seeing a health care professional or feeling well again.

Should you experience symptoms, test positive for either virus, or have a need to quarantine on-site, we respectfully ask that you notify our staff immediately during the course of any program.

This notice serves as an advisory with guidelines to follow in order to prevent the spread of disease. Please email warriorsnationbasketball@gmail.com if you have any questions.
